EA946 Audio silence detector and alarm unit.
Designed to monitor the audio signal fed to a transmitter and to raise an alarm in case of signal failure. The two stage alarm will initially actuate a warning with a built-in or external buzzer. After a delay (adjustable) the unit will automatically start a back-up unit, change over to the secondary audio input and start dialling the first of 5 pre-programmed telephone numbers. Upon answering the telephone you will hear a DTMF tone that will identify the unit and you can listen to the studio output or the backup source. Your telephone dial can be used as a remote control.
